The Certificate of Occupancy from Iredell County was received on December 12, marking an important milestone toward full project completion.

Progress continues on the South Yadkin Pump Station Replacement project. Recent improvements include a newly constructed driveway and updated ditching around the exterior of the station. Inside the facility, key upgrades are taking shape: electrical components are being installed, and new platforms are being built to elevate the electrical systems by four feet for added protection and efficiency.
One of the major upgrades—the installation of the traveling bar screen, which helps filter out leaves and debris before they enter the system—is now complete. To improve visibility and working conditions inside the station, the interior walls have also been freshly painted.
This important infrastructure project is expected to continue throughout the summer and fall as crews await delivery of additional specialized equipment. Stay tuned for more updates as work progresses.

The City has received an additional $180,000 in FEMA funding to support the replacement of water-damaged electrical pump motors, bringing the total FEMA reimbursement to date to $230,873.
