The city has received the construction grant for the Airport Apron Expansion project. The project will expand the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) aircraft parking apron and prepare the site for the future Elizabeth City State University Flight School hangars.
The project is funded through a $2.8 million grant from the North Carolina Department of Transportation Aviation Division. Bids for construction are expected to be advertised within the next 60 to 90 days.
