Project Update: August 29/2025

The 2025 Street Resurfacing Project is now complete.

All designated streets and greenway sections have been successfully resurfaced, providing smoother travel and improved connectivity for the community.

Project Update: August 1, 2025

The Street Resurfacing Project is nearing completion! The contractor is finishing up the final phases, with only two streets remaining - portions of Old Charlotte Road and West Sharpe Street. In addition to the remaining roadwork, crews will also be paving eight locations along the Greenway to improve accessibility and user experience. Thank you for your continued patience as we wrap up this project. We look forward to providing smoother, safer streets and greenway paths for everyone to enjoy.

Project Update - June 25, 2025

The City of Statesville continues its 2025 Street Resurfacing Program, and we appreciate the community’s continued patience as we navigate schedule adjustments due to weather and site conditions. Below is the updated paving schedule for this week and next:

  • Wednesday, June 25: Crews will complete paving on Beauty Street and begin paving on Walton Drive.
  • Thursday & Friday, June 26–27: Paving will continue on Stonecrest, Stony Lane, and Boulder Place.
  • Monday, June 30: This day is being held open in case work is not completed on Stonecrest, Stony Lane, or Boulder Place.
  • Tuesday & Wednesday, July 1–2: No paving scheduled.

The paving contractor has been placing electronic sign boards and distributing door hangers (as needed) to notify residents ahead of work on each street.

Thank you again for your understanding as we move through this important infrastructure improvement. The final product is looking great, and we’re excited to continue making progress across our neighborhoods.

Project Update - June 16, 2025

Paving operations for the City of Statesville’s 2025 Street Resurfacing Project are scheduled to begin Monday, June 16, and continue for approximately ten weeks.

We’ve completed the pre-construction meeting and finalized the first week’s paving schedule. The following streets are planned for resurfacing this week (weather permitting):

  • June 16 – Pecan Street (full street closure will be required)
  • June 17 – 3rd Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant area
  • June 18 – Shannon Court
  • June 19–20 – Lindsey Street, Hazelwood Drive, Cunningham Drive, and Dillon Drive

Residents will be notified at least 48 hours in advance of paving through door hangers and message boards, and appropriate traffic control will be in place to ensure public safety.

Please note: Although Thursday, June 19 is a city holiday, paving operations will continue.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our streets.
