Road Closures Scheduled on June 19 and 20, 2026 for Community Celebrations

The City of Statesville has approved special event permits for two community celebrations taking place on June 19 and June 20, 2026. As part of these events, several streets will be temporarily closed to through traffic. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time when traveling in the affected areas.

Garfield/Green Street Area National Historic District Celebration on Friday, June 19, 2026

The following streets will be closed to through traffic:

  • Garfield Street from Salisbury Street to Green Street
  • Elm Street from Chambers Street to Garfield Street

Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 20, 2026

The following streets will be closed to through traffic:

  • West Broad Street from Meeting Street to Mulberry Street
  • Meeting Street from Court Street to West Broad Street

The City appreciates the public's patience and cooperation as these events take place and encourages residents and visitors to plan accordingly.
