The City of Statesville Police Department is located at 330 S. Tradd Street, one block from the U.S. 21 and N.C. 115 intersection.

Statesville is located in the Western Piedmont area of the state near the center of Iredell County. Two major interstates, I-40 and I-77, intersect within the city limits as do three U.S. highways.

Two large metropolitan areas are located within 40 miles, Charlotte to the south and Winston Salem to the east.

Statesville's 85 sworn officers and 25 civilians serve approximately 28,500 residents within an area of 24.9 square miles.
