Shooting Incident - 910 Hill Terrace

On July 1, 2023, at approximately 2:40 a.m., the Statesville Police Department received a report of shots fired in the area of 910 Hill Terrace. While officers were enroute to this location, Statesville Police was notified of two subjects suffering from gunshot wounds had arrived at Iredell Memorial. An unknown third party transported the victims to the emergency room. One victim, Deleon Dalton, 18 of Statesville, received a gunshot wound to the back and the second victim, a 17-year-old juvenile, had a gunshot wound to the hand. Both victims were transported to Baptist Hospital. The Statesville Police Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and began investigating the incident.
