Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Statesville Civic Center for the Statesville Police Department’s Community Meeting! We’re grateful for your time, your questions, and your continued commitment to keeping Statesville a safe and thriving community.

The meeting featured a comprehensive update on departmental activity, with division leaders presenting information on crime trends, community engagement, and ongoing initiatives. The data covered the period from January through April 2025, with comparisons to the same timeframe in previous years to highlight progress and identify areas of focus.

Highlights from the presentation included:

  • Year-to-date comparisons for violent and property crimes

  • Hotspot maps showing areas of focused enforcement and engagement

  • Updates from Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Narcotics, Crime Reduction, Traffic, and Community Services

  • Recognition of the SPD Traffic Division as the 2024 MADD Agency of the Year

  • Recruitment and training updates, including more than 76 hours of officer training already completed in 2025

  • Extensive community outreach efforts, with over 220 foot patrols and participation in more than 40 public events

Attendees also heard about upcoming opportunities to connect with SPD at events like Art in the Park, Coffee With a Cop, SPD Summer Camp, and more.
