Spring Youth Soccer Registration at the Statesville Recreation & Parks Department
As the sun warms up the fields, so does our excitement to kick off a fantastic program designed to cultivate skills, teamwork, and a passion for the game. We invite young athletes to lace up their cleats, embrace the spirit of competition, and embark on a journey of growth, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments on the pitch.
Youth Recreation Soccer (Ages 4-13):
Our Youth Recreation Soccer Program is a dynamic and diverse league for kids between the ages of 4 and 13. With age-appropriate divisions ranging from U6 to U14, we cater to all skill levels and aim to make every child's experience professional, organized, and enjoyable. Our primary focus is on fostering a love for the sport while nurturing valuable life skills and sportsmanship.
Volunteer coaches receive comprehensive support from us, including access to drills, practice times, and coaching techniques to enrich their coaching abilities. Additionally, every game has a paid official to ensure fair play and provide a seamless sporting experience. Whether your child is just beginning their soccer journey or is an experienced player, our Youth Recreation Soccer leagues offer something special for everyone.
League Information:
U6 (Ages 4-5 years old) – 6 vs. 6, Field Size: 30 yards x 45 yards
U8 (Ages 6-7 years old) – 6 vs. 6, Field Size: 30 yards x 45 yards
U10 (Ages 8-9 years old) – 7 vs. 7, Field Size: 40 yards x 60 yards
U12 (Ages 10-11 years old) – 8 vs. 8, Field Size: 50 yards x 70 yards
U14 (Ages 12-13 years old) – 11 vs. 11, Field Size: 50 yards x 100 yards
AGE CUT OFF: December 31, 2024 (Player can play in the age group they are on December 31, 2024)
Registration Opens: December 2, 2024
Registration Closes: January 31, 2025
Practices begin mid-February 2025
Games begin the first weekend in March 2025.

The City of Statesville Recreation and Parks Department created the HUB System to partner with local Elementary School Athletic Associations to ensure consistency, inclusion, oversight, and transparency in youth athletics. The HUB system aids the Recreation & Parks Department by simplifying the registration process while also giving each organization a voice in improving our youth sports programs.
