Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Rebate Instructions

Rebates are subject to the Terms & Conditions listed. Rebate funds are limited and will be paid as projects are approved and verified while funds are available. NO projects are considered approved until a written approval letter from the North Carolina Municipal Power Agency 1 has been issued to the requesting party.

Please be aware that this program requires pre-approval before any upgrade work can begin.

DID YOU REMEMBER TO:

• Read and sign the full "Terms and Conditions" page to determine eligibility and responsibilities.
• Fill out the application completely and email to [email protected].
• Ensure that the application is submitted by the utility customer. Vendors and third parties may not submit the application on behalf of the customer.
• Include the following with your application:
• Fill out Rebate Worksheet for proposed upgrade measures
• W9 tax ID form
• A copy of your most recent utility bill

AFTER YOU SUBMIT THE ENTIRE APPLICATION:

• A representative from the utility will visit the facility to verify the existing equipment.
• If approved, ElectriCities will issue an approval notification. At this point, you may begin the project.
• You have 120 days or until December 31st of the current year (whichever comes first) to complete the upgrade.

AFTER THE PROJECT IS COMPLETE:

• Please notify SPP so that installation can be verified.
• Submit the following documents:
• An itemized invoice (with equipment type, model numbers and quantities)
• Proof that the vendor has been paid (canceled check or card statement)

Rebates are paid by SPP in the form of a bill credit. Rebates are paid ONLY to the utility account holder.
