Fire Marshal's Office

The mission of the Fire Marshal's Office is to preserve life and property from all hazards through prevention, life safety education, investigation, and enforcement of fire codes; and to provide technical assistance to fire departments, the public, businesses, and schools in obtaining these goals.

Fire safety services provided by the Fire Marshal's office includes, but are not limited to: Fire Education + Planning, Fire Inspections + Enforcement, Fire + Arson Investigations, Public Fire + Life Safety Education, Knox Box, and Plan Review + Permitting.

The Fire Marshal's office is located at City Hall located at 227 S Center Street.

The Statesville Fire Marshal's Office is made up of the Fire Marshal, Deputy Fire Marshal, Assistant Fire Marshal, and a Fire + Life Educator/Community Risk Reduction.


The Statesville Fire Marshal's Office offers Pre-School, School, and Adult Programs along with FREE Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms.
