The Fleet Maintenance Division of the City of Statesville plays a pivotal role in ensuring the functionality and reliability of the city's extensive array of vehicles and equipment. From police vehicles to sanitation trucks, we are entrusted with the maintenance, customization, and acquisition processes for all city-owned units.

With a fleet comprising approximately 605 units, our responsibilities are multifaceted. We conduct routine state inspections to guarantee compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring that each vehicle is safe and roadworthy. Additionally, our services extend to comprehensive overhauls when necessary, addressing major issues and prolonging the lifespan of vital assets.

Collaboration is at the core of our operations. We work closely with 18 different divisions across the city, spanning various departments such as law enforcement, public works, and utilities. By providing timely maintenance and support, we strive to minimize costs and operational downtime for these essential services.

Safety is paramount in everything we do. Our dedicated team adheres rigorously to safety protocols and DOT guidelines, prioritizing the well-being of both our personnel and the broader community. Through regular training and adherence to industry best practices, we ensure that our fleet operations meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

In essence, the Fleet Maintenance Division serves as the backbone of Statesville's transportation infrastructure. By maintaining, customizing, and procuring vehicles and equipment, we enable the seamless functioning of essential city services while safeguarding the well-being of our community.
