๐Ÿถ First, to all the dog lovers out there, mark your calendars for Dog Day at the Pool on Saturday, September 21, 2024. This annual event at the Statesville Leisure Pool will run from 11a to 2p, and the cost is just $5 per dog. Bring your furry friends for a splash-tastic time!

๐Ÿ‘ฎ Then, join the Statesville Police Department for their annual Night Out on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 5:30p to 7:30p. This free community event in Downtown Statesville brings us together to stand against crime and violence in our neighborhoods. Enjoy free food, inflatables, entertainment, and so much more!

A North Carolina drought monitor map dated June 2, 2026, shows drought conditions across the state. Much of central and northern North Carolina remains in severe to extreme drought, indicated by orange and red shading. Areas of western North Carolina and portions of the coastal region are experiencing moderate drought, shown in tan. A small area in the southeastern corner of the state remains in extreme drought.
