Supporting Future Firefighters: City Donates Surplus Equipment to Iredell-Statesville Schools

In June 2024, the Statesville Fire Department officially relocated from the former Fire Station 1. As part of that move, the Plymovent exhaust removal system previously installed in the apparatus bay was left in place and is no longer in use.

This system has since been declared surplus by the City. The Iredell-Statesville School System has expressed interest in receiving the system as a donation for their high school fire program. It will be repurposed in their training bay to support student education and safety by providing proper ventilation for their training apparatus.

The City of Statesville is proud to donate this equipment in support of local education and the development of future fire service professionals.
