City of Statesville Swears In New Mayor and City Council Members

During the City Council meeting on Monday, December 1, 2025, the City of Statesville welcomed its newly elected leadership as Honorable Judge Joseph N. Crosswhite, Senior Resident Superior Court Judge, administered the oath of office in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

The ceremony included the swearing-in of four new council members, one returning member, and the City’s new mayor:

  • Doug Hendrix, Mayor
  • Doris Allison, re-elected to her third term representing Ward Three
  • Trey Robertson, At-large
  • James Pressly, At-large
  • Kristi Pfeufer, Ward Two
  • Tip Nicholson, Ward Five

These officials will serve alongside continuing council members David Jones (Ward One), Amy Lawton (Ward Four), and Lisa Pearson (Ward Six) to complete the City’s governing body.

During the organizational portion of the meeting, Council Member David Jones was also re- elected to serve as Mayor Pro Tem.

The City of Statesville congratulates each of these leaders and looks forward to their service and commitment to the community.
