City of Statesville Kicks Off School Supply Drive Ahead of End of Summer Bash
STATESVILLE, NC — The City of Statesville is kicking off a new citywide school supply drive to help students start the 2025–2026 school year with confidence! From June 2 through July 18, residents can drop off donations at convenient locations across the city to support the End of Summer Bash, taking place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Harris Park. This is the City’s first coordinated drive of this kind and aims to provide fully stocked backpacks for local children in need, helping ease the financial burden on families and ensuring every student has the tools they need to succeed.
“This is the City’s first school supply drive of this kind, and I can’t wait to see how our residents show up to support our youth,” said Mayor Costi Kutteh. “It’s a powerful reminder of what makes Statesville special – neighbors helping neighbors. When we come together like this, we’re not just filling backpacks, we’re building confidence, hope, and a stronger future for our students.”
