Last Updated 2/22/2026Posted in Road Closure, Statesville Public Power, Latest City News, Homepage

Statesville Public Power is responding to a power outage affecting approximately 700 customers in the area of the 1900 block of Museum Road after a tree fell onto power lines and broke a utility pole. For the safety of crews and the public, Museum Road is closed from the Chestnut/Millsaps Road area to McClure Park while repairs are underway.
Restoration is expected to take approximately 4–6 hours, and motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes. Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power.
