Tax Rate Information:

City of Statesville property taxes are billed and collected at the Iredell County Tax Office. Residents will receive one tax bill with both city and county tax amounts listed. For more information on property taxes, the Iredell County Tax Office can assist you at 704-878-3020.

The Statesville City tax rate is .5176.

Description:

Beer + Wine Permit

Statesville no longer levies a privilege license tax. Any new or existing business is not required to obtain or renew a privilege license. Business which hold N.C. ABC Commission permits must still apply for the City of Statesville Beer/Wine Permit.

The City of Statesville requires businesses to submit a Liquor License to serve beer, wine and/or liquor. The penalty for engaging in business without obtaining a license is 5% of the amount of the license per month for a maximum of 25%, with a minimum of $5.00.

Solid Waste Fees

The Water Resources Department consists of the Water Plant and two Wastewater Treatment Plants. The department supplies, treats and delivers the highest quality water possible to the citizens of Statesville and treats and disposes of sewage and residuals generated by the users in the most cost efficient manner that imposes no adverse impact on the environment.

The City of Statesville strives to manage stormwater to preserve and protect life, support healthy natural resources, comply with federal and state regulations and improve infrastructure.

System Development + Tap Fees

The Water/Sewer Maintenance Division is responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining the City of Statesville's water and sewer infrastructure.

Water + Sewer Rates

Statesville provides continuous, twenty-four hour per day, water and sewer service. There is always a certified operator on duty at each plant as required by the state. This ensures that the city's water supply and the water returned to nearby streams are of the best quality possible.
