🌞 We have a fun filled weekend coming up! Join the Statesville Police Department on Saturday from 1-4pm at Alex Cooper Park for a Community Fun Day. This is a FREE event for the entire family! There will be food, youth activities, face painting, basketball, football and much more.

💦 Then head over to the Bentley Community Center where the Statesville Recreation & Parks Department will be hosting a FREE Splash-In movie. The Splash Pad gates will open at 8pm with the movie Puss In Boots: The Last Wish beginning around 8:45pm.

🏢 City Council meets tomorrow night at 7pm. If you cannot attend in person, tune in to cable channel 20 or YouTube to watch the meeting live. Learn more at www.statesvillenc.net/statesville-city-council.

These Sunday night phone calls ("HELLO STATESVILLE") come from the City of Statesville, NC to keep you informed on the recycling schedule, holiday garbage collection changes, special dates and events, emergency information and more.

The call comes out on Sundays at 7 p.m. and lasts about 45 seconds. You can also get the message by text or email. You can only receive this call if you register.

You will also get emergency notifications specific to Statesville when necessary.
