Upcoming Storm Pipe Repairs to Impact Beauty Street and Joe Road

The City of Statesville will begin two storm pipe repair projects on Monday, March 9, weather permitting. The repairs are being completed by a contractor and are necessary to maintain proper drainage and protect roadway infrastructure in the area.

The first repair involves a storm pipe along Japul Road crossing Beauty Street. During this work, Beauty Street will be closed at Japul Road. Residents will need to follow alternate routes using Joe Road to Japul Road to Beauty Street, or Joe Road to Council Avenue. This repair is expected to take approximately three days to complete.

The second repair involves a cross pipe on Joe Road at Japul Road. During this phase of work, residents should use Japul Road to Beauty Street to Council Avenue to Joe Road as the alternate route. This repair is also expected to take approximately three days.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and use caution in the work areas. The City appreciates the public’s patience as these important infrastructure repairs are completed.
