Assistant City Manager

Sherisha Hills, Assistant City Manager

Sherisha Hills serves as the Assistant City Manager for the City of Statesville. She joined the City on October 27, 2025.

As Assistant City Manager, Sherisha oversees Recreation & Parks, the Downtown Statesville Development Corporation, the Statesville Regional Airport, Information Technology, and the Planning Department. She also serves as the city’s liaison to the Statesville Housing Authority and the Statesville Convention & Visitors Bureau, while assisting the City Manager, staff, and City Council in serving the citizens of Statesville.

Sherisha earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and Leisure Services and a Master of Business Administration.

Prior to coming to Statesville, she served as Assistant Town Manager for Community Services with the Town of Mooresville. Before that, she worked for the City of Tampa, Florida, as Director of Parks and Recreation and Special Events, where she led one of the city’s largest departments with more than 500 employees and oversaw more than 500 permitted events annually.

Originally from Tampa, Florida, Sherisha now lives in Mooresville. She is a lifelong sports enthusiast who enjoys attending professional sporting events, as well as art and music festivals and community events.
