The City of Statesville's Community Appearance Commission is pleased to recognize five outstanding properties as recipients of the Spring 2026 Community Appearance Awards.  This season's recipients are:

  • Darryl & Tewanna Davidson – High Point Avenue
  • Don Underhill & Donna McMillen – North Oakwood Drive
  • Bill & Tamera Neely – Sherwood Lane

Kathy Williams – North Green Street

Kathy Williams was recognized for continuing and adding to the lawn and garden begun by her son and for enhancing her landscape with a beautiful stone wall at the front of her property.

Alan & Kerri Williams – Lakeside Drive

Alan and Kerri Williams were recognized for the significant improvements they have made to their home and landscape over the years, including painting the brick exterior, replacing doors, and adding rock paths and walls leading to the creek behind their home.

Darryl & Tewanna Davidson – High Point Avenue

Darryl and Tewanna Davidson were honored for improving their landscape by removing border plants and planting new grass.

Don Underhill & Donna McMillen – North Oakwood Drive

Don Underhill and Donna McMillen's flower-filled lawn features a variety of plants highlighted by a beautiful arch, creating a landscape that reflects their labor of love.

Bill & Tamera Neely – Sherwood Lane

Bill and Tamera Neely were recognized for their efforts to improve the landscape of their property with beautiful plants and flowers surrounding the stone wall that has long been a distinctive feature of the lot.

"The Community Appearance Awards are one of our favorite ways to recognize residents who help keep Statesville beautiful," said Sherry Harris, Chair of the Community Appearance Commission. "These homeowners have invested time and care into their properties, creating attractive landscapes that enhance their neighborhoods and contribute to community pride."

The Community Appearance Commission presents awards twice each year, in the spring and fall, as part of its mission to promote cleanliness, beautification, and community pride throughout Statesville.

Congratulations to the Spring 2026 winners, and thank you for helping make Statesville a place where it all comes together.
