The City of Statesville is partnering with Iredell County in offering the public a new online permitting system that will simplify development services countywide. The program, “Citizen Self-Service” (CSS), is accessible from any computer or device and allows the public to upload site plans and construction documents, complete and submit necessary permit applications, manage inspection requests and make payments all online without having to come to an office.

This online permitting, plan review and inspection request system also: automates notification to all relevant departments, offers ready access to application data, maintains transparency for the general public, and provides real-time progress notifications to the applicant.

Specific to projects located in Statesville, EnerGov allows the public to complete zoning applications, upload plans for the Technical Review Committee (TRC), apply for water and sewer taps, and apply for fire and sign permits. All payments are made online through Iredell County by credit card or E-check.

There is a credit card fee of 3.25% per transaction and a fee of $1.95 for E-check.
