Levitt AMP Statesville Music Series

The Levitt AMP Statesville Music Series continues to bring the community together through a vibrant lineup of free, family-friendly outdoor concerts held throughout the spring and fall.

Featuring a diverse mix of genres - from rock and soul to country and indie - the series showcases talented artists from across the country while creating a welcoming space for residents and visitors to connect and enjoy live music.

Honoring 150 Years of Service

You're Invited! Join us as we celebrate a remarkable milestone - 150 years of service, dedication, and community commitment.

The City of Statesville invites residents and visitors alike to honor the legacy of the Statesville Fire Department on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station 1 (822 5th Street). This free, family-friendly event is open to the entire community. Learn more here.

National Public Works Week (NPWW)

National Public Works Week (May 17–23) is a time to recognize and celebrate the dedicated professionals who keep the City of Statesville running every day. This year’s theme, “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community,” highlights the essential role public works plays in building and maintaining the foundation of our community - from the roads we travel to the water systems we rely on, both seen and unseen. These vital services support our quality of life and help Statesville continue to grow and thrive. Statesville Enters Stage D3 Extreme Drought; Water Restrictions Now in Effect

The City of Statesville is currently under Stage 3 (Extreme Drought) conditions, as declared by the North Carolina Drought Management Advisory Council based on the latest U.S. Drought Monitor data.

As of May 4, 2026, the City will enforce water use restrictions, including fines for noncompliance, in accordance with City of Statesville Code of Ordinances and the City’s Water Shortage Response Plan, following a drought advisory and the establishment of the City’s Water Shortage Leadership Team. 

All residents and businesses are asked to comply with the current drought restrictions as we work together to protect our community’s water resources. Read more here.

Youth Summer Sports Camp + Fall Youth League Registration Opened May 1st

Statesville Recreation & Economic Vitality is excited to kick off registration for both Fall Youth Leagues and Youth Summer Sports Camps, registration opened May 1, 2026. 

This fall, young athletes can get in the game with soccer, softball, and volleyball, while summer offers a wide variety of camps including wrestling, tennis, track & field, softball, baseball, volleyball, and soccer.

These programs provide great opportunities for kids to stay active, build skills, and have fun in a supportive, team-focused environment:

Statesville Leisure Pool Opens May 23rd

Mark your calendars and get ready - Statesville’s Summer Movie Series is back! From Memorial Day through Labor Day Weekend, Statesville Recreation & Economic Vitality is bringing the community together for a season full of cinematic fun for all ages.

Enjoy the unique experience of Dive-In Movies at the Statesville Leisure Pool or stay cool with our Indoor Movie Series at the Statesville Event Center. With a variety of family-friendly films and unforgettable settings, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this summer.

🔹Police Telecommunicator - Night Shift (6PM - 6AM, Full-Time): This position is responsible for receiving and prioritizing 911 and non-emergency telephone calls from the public, dispatching appropriate public safety officials, and maintaining open lines of communication with public safety during emergency situations.

🔹Summer Camp Counselor (Seasonal): This position is responsible for performing general duties relating to programs and activities at the Recreation Center Summer Camp.
