The following study is to be used as a general policy guide for land use and infrastructure decisions in the Brookdale Drive, Oakdale Drive and Hartness Road Corridor area. Acceptance of this plan is not intended to imply approval of any type of zoning amendment before such has been fully considered through public hearings and the review process with the Planning Board and City Council. The study area boundaries follow Carolina Avenue to the north, Sullivan Road to the east, Stockton Street, N. Oakwood Drive, Brandon Street and Partridge Drive to the south and Woods Drive to the west. Iredell Memorial Hospital serves as a reference point in the center of the study area. Brookdale Drive, Oakdale Drive and Hartness Road are the main corridors within the study area see Maps 1 and 2.
