Public Notice: City of Statesville to Lease Property to I-CARE, INC.

PUBLIC NOTICE

LEASE OF CITY PROPERTY

The City Council of the City of Statesville intends to lease the following city-owned property, PIN 4744-20-2763.000, also described as:

Being all of LOT NO. ONE (1) of The Statesville Redevelopment Commission Property known as NC R-118, Section 4, as the same is platted, planned, and recorded in Plat Book 16, page 12, of the plat records of the Register of Deeds for Iredell County North Carolina.

The city intends to lease the property to I-CARE, INC. for a term of ten years; I-CARE, INC. will also have the option to renew the lease for one additional term of ten years. In consideration of the lease, I-CARE, INC. will pay the city an annual rent of $1.00. If I-CARE, INC. renews the lease, the annual rent during the second term will be $1.00.

All persons interested in this lease are invited to attend the meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 227 S. Center Street, Statesville, NC 28677 at 6:00 PM on Monday, September 16th. At that time the board intends to authorize the lease of the property described above.

According to the North Carolina Drought Management Advisory Council, City of Statesville water customers remain under D2 severe drought conditions, and water restrictions remain in effect.
