🏢 City Council meets tomorrow at 6p at City Hall. If you can’t attend in person, watch it live on YouTube here or Cable Channel 20.

🔴 Join us this Thursday for Community Fun Night at the Statesville Fitness & Activity Center! This month is Bingo Night, happening from 6–8p. Participants of all ages can enjoy exciting rounds of bingo and great prizes! The cost is $5.00 per person, and you can register in advance at register.statesvillenc.net. Don’t worry—walk-ins are welcome, and you can pay at the door!

🏓 Calling all seniors! Join us for a Spring Social and learn about the Iredell Senior Games on Saturday, March 8, from 11a-2p. This free drop-in event is open to everyone age 50 and up. It’s a great opportunity to register for the upcoming games and learn more about the events. Learn more here.

A North Carolina drought monitor map dated June 2, 2026, shows drought conditions across the state. Much of central and northern North Carolina remains in severe to extreme drought, indicated by orange and red shading. Areas of western North Carolina and portions of the coastal region are experiencing moderate drought, shown in tan. A small area in the southeastern corner of the state remains in extreme drought. The map includes drought classification categories ranging from abnormally dry (D0) to exceptional drought (D4), along with logos from the USDA, NDMC, NOAA, and other monitoring agencies.
