Permanently Closing a Portion of Henry Street

That the City Council of the City of Statesville will hold and conduct a public hearing on the 16th day of February 2026 at 6:00 o’clock p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 227 South Center Street, Statesville, North Carolina. The purpose of the public hearing is to consider permanently closing a portion of Henry Street between S. Center Street and Shelton Avenue. The applicant owns the adjacent parcel that would be affected by the abandonment. The City Council passed a Resolution of Intent to Abandon on January 12, 2026. The full copy of the Resolution, including metes and bounds descriptions and a survey of the area to be abandoned, are available at the City of Statesville Planning Department Office. All interested citizens are urged to attend the hearing.
