Matthew L. Pierce serves as the Assistant to the City Manager for the City of Statesville. The Assistant to the City Manager serves as an integral member of the City Administration Team.

• Provides leadership support to the City Manager

• Plans and recommends organizational policies and performance strategies

• Represents the City Manager with City Council, employees, and citizen groups

• Provides direct oversight of major programs and projects assigned by the CM

• Conducts research and special projects

• Oversees the City’s strategic plan
