Important Information For All Vendors:

A Purchase order or Contract will not be issued to a vendor until a completed Vendor Application is received in the Purchasing Office.

You can email your vendor application to [email protected] or fax your application to 704-873-4167. You may also mail your application to City of Statesville, PO Box 1111, Statesville, NC 28687.

All vendors are required to read and accept the Purchasing Terms and Conditions.

Purchasing Policies

The Purchasing Division is committed to conducting all purchasing activities according to the N.C. General Statues and the City of Statesville Purchasing Manual:

  • To conduct all purchasing activities in such a manner as to develop and maintain good public and internal relationships.
  • To encourage fair and open competition by legitimate and ethical means.
  • To respect purchasing authority at all times and not use it for private and advantage or gain.
  • To promote the goodwill of the Purchasing Division at all times.

How to do Business with the City of Statesville

It is the intent of City of Statesville Purchasing Department to make vendor/city relations pleasant, professional and profitable for both the vendor and the City. The purpose of Purchasing is to ensure the most efficient and effective use of public funds by purchasing at lowest cost consistent with the quality and quantity required.

All vendors and sales representatives are invited to call on Purchasing, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. An appointment prior to arrival is strongly encouraged.

Minority Outreach

The City of Statesville does not have a certification program for minority vendors/contractors but encourages minority participation in all business with the City of Statesville. Minority vendors can fill out vendor application located on our web site to be added to our minority log or can become a certified minority vendor by contacting the North Carolina Department of Administration Office for Historically Underutilized Businesses Small Business Administration.

A North Carolina drought monitor map dated June 2, 2026, shows drought conditions across the state. Much of central and northern North Carolina remains in severe to extreme drought, indicated by orange and red shading. Areas of western North Carolina and portions of the coastal region are experiencing moderate drought, shown in tan. A small area in the southeastern corner of the state remains in extreme drought.
