The Statesville Regional Airport (KSVH) is a General Aviation (GA) airport owned by the City of Statesville, serving the residents of Iredell County and the general area. The 7,003-foot runway and full parallel taxiway can handle any size corporate aircraft. The Statesville Regional Airport provides corporate aviation facilities for Fortune 500 companies and several NASCAR teams. Numerous aviation parts and equipment manufacturers make their home in our region. KSVH is now home to West Star Aviation, a nationwide company and one of the largest Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) providers in the country.

The Statesville Regional Airport is located at 238 Airport Road Statesville, NC 28677. Located along I-40 and I-77, our region offers natural transportation advantages. Our close proximity to two major interstates affords easy highway access to I-85, as well as I-95, I-81, I-20 and I-26.

Statesville Airport Administration oversees daily operations, supports aviation services, and works to enhance the airport’s role in economic growth and connectivity for the region.

The Airport Commission is made up of seven members; six are appointed by Statesville City Council and one is appointed by the Iredell County Commissioners.

The City of Statesville assumed FBO operation on February 1, 2019. Available services on the Airport include fuel + oil, rental cars, catering, freight handling, and more.

Building the Future: Statesville Regional Airport Terminal Time-Lapse

The Statesville Regional Airport Terminal Building project marks a major investment in the future of aviation and economic growth in Statesville. Construction began in May 2024 on a new three-story terminal designed to enhance services for pilots, visitors, and aviation partners while supporting the continued growth of the airport.

This time-lapse video captures the transformation from groundbreaking to completion as the new terminal takes shape. The modern facility includes expanded terminal space, offices for aviation-related businesses, and more.

2024 Flight Activity at Statesville Regional Airport

This animated video highlights arrivals and departures at Statesville Regional Airport (SVH) during 2024 based on filed flight plans recorded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The visualization shows how aircraft travel to and from Statesville, illustrating the airport’s connections to destinations across the country. 

The animation is based on data from the FAA’s Traffic Flow Management System Counts (TFMSC) and includes flights operating under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). While these flights represent only a portion of total activity at the airport, they provide insight into the longer-distance travel patterns that connect Statesville to regional and national aviation networks.

Together, these flights demonstrate the important role Statesville Regional Airport plays in supporting business aviation, corporate travel, and regional connectivity.
